Colored Architecture - How do I create a color scheme for an interior?
This German tutorial explains how to create a color scheme for an interior using Colored Architecture and SketchUp. We will use 5 photos of the room to be designed as well as the length, width and height measured with a folding rule as a template. So we practically start from scratch and end up with a beautifully designed 3D model of our room with an interactive color scheme and realistic radiosity visualization.
The first part of the tutorial briefly introduces Colored Architecture and shows what we want to model and design.
In the second part, we use the free version of the modeling program SketchUp to model our interior with door, windows and furniture from photos. We will start with a new empty SketchUp to demonstrate the principle of modeling from photos in the interior.
The third part introduces color design with Colored Architecture: interactive live radiosity visualization, color harmonies, color suggestions, color studies, color variations, reflections … and there is much more, but I couldn’t show everything here in time.
